To say that shopping with kids is frustrating would be the understatement of the year. The hassle of getting my toddler dressed and out the door alone makes me break out in a sweat. As I sat at home six months pregnant, I cringed at the thought of taking not one but TWO kids shopping for clothes.

Around that same time I was told by my editors at the Military Moms Blog about an opportunity to try a game changing subscription box called Wee Blessing.

Of course I was practically foaming at the mouth for the opportunity to review a clothing subscription that not only dresses kids, but the WHOLE family (adults and maternity included)!

Letting Go Of Mom Guilt

Letting Go Of Mom Guilt

IMG_9245

These days with so many socia media networks, like Pinterest and Instagram, there seems to be so much pressure to be the “perfect” mom. While my husband works 12 hour (or more) work days, I find myself feeling guilty that maybe I’m not doing enough on the home front. I know I can’t be the only one experiencing this.

Whether you’re a stay at home mom or a working mom, we always feel like we could or should be doing more. More with our kids, more around the house…Well I’m here to stand with you and let go of that guilt! I will no longer compare myself to others and beat myself up for any “shortcomings” I feel I may have. Instead I will embrace the opportunity I’ve been given as a wife and mother and be proud of what I DO accomplish in a day!

Game Day Guacamole

IMG_8926.PNG

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not much of a football fan. However, growing up in a football family never left me much of a choice in participating in game days. I quickly learned to find things that I DO enjoy…tailgates, squares, and most of all…the food.

Yes, football fans sure know how to put out an impressive spread of food. During football season I often find myself dreaming, not of playoffs and fantasy teams, but of hot wings and jalapeño poppers.

But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, beats a good chip dip! The possibilities here are endless. One dip I can guarantee will be a hit at any game day, or party in general, is a fresh, HOMEMADE guacamole.

That’s why I needed to share this game changing recipe with all of you!

Keeping a toddler busy throughout the day is no simple task! There is only so much I can get done around the house before I hear, “Mama play? Mama play. Mama Play!”.

There is also so much leggo building and toy car racing I can do before I’m bored out of my mind. Sometimes it’s nice to take it easy with a little activity at the dining room table.

It’s 6:00 on a Tuesday night and I should have started dinner half an hour ago. At this point I’ve Lost all motivation and will likely pop a cup of Easy Mac into the microwave for my toddler.

Sound familiar? We’ve all been there. As a stay at home mom, I face so many moments throughout the week where I immediately turn to sugary snacks or pre-made, processed meals. It’s not that I don’t like to cook, I actually love it. But I’m often faced with situations where we’re running late to an appointment or play date or spending the day running errands. Or I have a fussy toddler who wants me to play dinosaurs instead of going to the kitchen to cook for an hour.

As easy as it is to throw fruit snacks in the diaper bag or microwave a frozen dinner on these days, it’s just not satisfying. Most of the time these foods don’t leave us feeling full. Honestly, nothing can compare to fresh, healthy food.

So I have been left with wondering how we as moms and wives can make sure our family is getting high quality snacks and meals without resulting in us being in the kitchen all day. And without leaving us stressed out or feeling guilty for a less than nutritional meal.

This is why I have decided to partner with Pampered Chef Independent Executive Consultant, Julie Gizzi. We wanted to bring you a list of MUST HAVE, TIME SAVING Pampered Chef products. I put a lot of thought into this list for both myself and for you!

As my son gets older it’s becoming more important to me that we start focusing on meaningful lessons during playtime. One thing we focused on last month was Giving Thanks.

In a world of increasing entitlement we want to raise our kids to be grateful. From family to the waitress at our favorite restaurant, I want them to acknowlege all that others do for them. Which leads me to our latest playtime adventure…

The Kid’s Night In Box

If you’re a regular visitor here at Beatuifully Imperfect Mama then you may have read a couple of my reviews on Night In Boxes. Well to my excitement they recently released a Kid’s Night In Box!

Each box comes curated with a variety of activities for kids ages 3-11. Our November box came with some great tools for our lesson on Giving Thanks.
